City:(Ios) Ios, a Magnet for the YoungIos is probably one of the few Greek islands that can take pride in managing to combine their cosmopolitan life with their tradition. Known for the frenetic rhythm of the night, Ios is definitely a magnet for the young, the home island of clubbing and having fun. But, as stated, the beauty of Cyclades is not absent or uncared for because of Ios’ tourism. Far from that, once you step into Hora, the capital of Ios, you can immediately notice the snow-white houses and blue churches, the scenic beauty of Ios. Said to be the burial place of Homer the Greek poet, Ios may not be the place for you if you’re strictly looking for a Greek island with lots of places to go sight-seeing, but it’s definitely ideal if you want a touch of tradition in your frantic holiday. |
